If you’ve been around PCMP, you know Laken, and if you don’t, you’re missing out on the heart of our program.

Laken has been with Paper City Mentoring Project for over a year, and in that time, she’s poured her heart into every teen and mentor she connects with. As our Match Specialist, Laken plays a key role in welcoming new teens and mentors, learning their stories, and doing the near-magical work of making meaningful, lasting matches.

But her impact doesn’t stop there. Laken continues to walk alongside each match, providing support, encouragement, and a listening ear. She also leads group mentoring at both Pickaway-Ross CTC and the Pioneer School and School Services, bringing connection and consistency to even more teens.

Laken has the biggest heart, an incredible gift for seeing people deeply, and a way of celebrating every teen and mentor for exactly who they are.
