What is the purpose of the event?

This event exists as Paper City Mentoring Project’s yearly fundraiser. Every penny from vendor fees, ticket sales, and Paper City Coffee purchases that day support PCMP.

You can learn more about PCMP here: papercitymentoringproject.org

How do you select vendors?

This year we will separate applications by genre and choose vendors from each category by considering the following:

  • Handmade or locally assembled products. The Maker Fair will not feature direct sales products (Beauty Counter, Young Living, Color Street, etc).
  • Uniqueness of products compared to other applicants in the same genre
  • You are able to provide quality photos of your work either with a social media link, a website link, or in emailed photos.
  • If you are offering pre-packaged edible products, we are able to see evidence that your product is of high quality.
  • If you’ve been a vendor at a previous Maker Fair, you complied with deadlines and regulations regarding COVID-19 precautions

We anticipate a record number of applicants, and it’s important to us to make sure we select vendors who are the best fit for our market.

When and where can I apply?

Applications Open:  Now!
Applications Close:  Midnight June 15
Decision Emails Sent:  June 16

Link to application is at the bottom of this page.

Are canopies required?

Nope! However, we recommend you bring one to stay in the shade. September afternoons can be toasty!

How much are the vendor fees?

The Maker Fair at Paper City (Sep 3) ONLY

Tier 1- $70 – event entry

Tier 2- $130 – event entry, a Saturday pop-up shop at Paper City Coffee prior to event date.

Merry Market (Dec 3) ONLY

Tier 1- $70 – event entry

Tier 2- $130 – event entry, a solo Saturday pop-up shop at Paper City Coffee prior to event.

Both Markets (Sep 3 AND Dec 3)

Tier 1- $120 – events entry

Tier 2- $170 – events entry,  ONE Saturday pop-up shop at Paper City Coffee prior to events

These fees are a tax-deductible donation to Paper City Mentoring Project and help us continue to match local teens with trained mentors, give incentives for teens to meet with their mentor and meet goals, and provide engaging activities for mentor/mentee pairs to do in the community.

*This year we will do our best to feature every participating vendor on our social media pages as long as quality photos are provided.

How/When do I pay?

All selected vendors will receive an invoice for payment via email.

If you have questions, contact our team: themakerfairatpapercity@papercitymentoringproject.org

In order to secure your spot, all payment will be due by Friday, July 1.

What are your COVID-19 Safety precautions?

We are not 100% sure what the Ohio Department of Health’s guidelines for large group gatherings will be in September, but we can assure you our team will be diligent in abiding by all necessary precautions to keep our vendors, volunteers, and patrons safe. Vendors will be spaced along 4th Street again to prevent excessive crowding.

Any changes and/or updated guidelines concerning the Maker Fair will be emailed to vendors closer to the time of the event.

Are tables and chairs provided?

We will not provide tables and chairs this year. Each vendor will have a 10’x 10′ space to display their products. Vendors are permitted to bring a canopy that fits in that space.

Where do I park and set up my booth?

We have reserved use of the parking lot directly across Paper City Coffee (47 S. Paint St.). Parking there and along Paint St. is your best bet!

There is also parking indicated in RED in the map below.

Set up should be easier this year because we will have vendors set up on both sides of 4th street, which means we will have a smaller space.

We will assign booth stations which will be included in your confirmation email.

How can I further support PCMP?

Some vendors donate a portion of their proceeds from the event to PCMP. Checks can be payable to Paper City Mentoring Project, or you can use the same PayPal link you used to pay your vendor fee.
